- The Department of Lifelong Learning and Extension [DLLE] (known earlier as Department of Adult and Continuing Education and Extension) established on October in the Year 1978 and has been recognized as a statutory Department of the University of Mumbai since 1994.
- Degree College Students register projects of DLLE, for which they are awarded 10 grace marks (under Ordinance 229-A) in their final examinations on successful completion and submission of the project report in time.
Objectives
- To Encourage continuous learning beyond formal education.
- To Help individuals adapt to social, economic, and technological changes.
- To Develop students’ leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- To Involve students in community service and social awareness programs.
- To Promote active citizenship and responsibility toward society.
- To Raise awareness about gender equality, literacy, and rights.
- To Conduct campaigns on issues like health, environment, legal rights, etc.
- To Help students explore entrepreneurial opportunities.

Report 2025-2026
Along with Entrepreneurship Development Cell and the Commerce Association, DLLE organized two Business Fairs on Saturday, 13 September 2025 and Saturday, 27 September 2025. A total of 22 stalls were set up by students, offering a variety of food and non-food items. A cash prize of ₹2000 per stall was awarded to the best stalls. The winners of the best stalls were:
